Industries Served by KPW's CNC Machined Parts
We manufacture high-precision CNC turned and milled components for a wide range of industries, ensuring durability, accuracy and consistent performance. In the automotive and transmission sector our components are used in transmission assemblies, differential housings, engine sub-assemblies, braking systems and suspension linkages, meeting the strict quality standards of Tier 1 and Tier 2 OEM supply chains. For hydraulic systems and fluid power applications, we produce critical parts such as hydraulic covers, pistons, cylinder heads and ported valve bodies, all machined with exceptional bore accuracy and surface finish to ensure leak-free operation under high pressure.
In the construction and material handling equipment segment, we supply robust components including concrete pump wear parts like rock covers and spectacle plates, as well as eccentric pins, suspension pins and structural fasteners designed to endure heavy loads and abrasive environments. Our oil and gas components, including connectors, flanges, and fittings, are manufactured from certified materials with complete traceability, meeting stringent pressure and material specifications for both upstream and downstream operations.
Additionally, we cater to industrial machinery and general engineering needs by producing precision pins, bushes, adjustment nuts, setting discs, friction discs and custom-engineered components for manufacturers across India and global markets. We also support the agricultural sector with durable components for soil-engaging equipment, transmission housings and implement mounting systems, built to withstand harsh environmental conditions and repetitive loading cycles.
CNC Machining Process Explained: From Design to Production
Engineering Review and CAD Preparation
Our engineering team reviews customer-supplied drawings (2D DXF/DWG or 3D STEP/IGES files). Where required, we provide design-for-manufacturability (DFM) feedback to optimise the component for efficient production without compromising function.
CNC Programming (CAM)
Skilled programmers convert the approved design into machine-readable G-code using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software. Toolpaths are optimised for cycle time, surface finish and tool life.
Material Procurement and Incoming Inspection
Raw materials are sourced from approved vendors. Each incoming batch undergoes dimensional and composition verification. Material Test Certificates (MTCs) are documented for traceability.
Machining Operations
Components pass through the required operations — CNC turning on precision lathes, milling on multi-axis machining centers, drilling, reaming, threading and grinding as required. Our operators perform in-process checks at defined intervals to catch deviations early.
In-Process Quality Control
Dimensional verification is performed at critical stages using calibrated instruments including Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), digital micrometers, bore gauges and optical comparators..
Final Inspection and Documentation
Every finished component undergoes a final inspection against the approved drawing. Inspection reports, hardness test results, surface finish records and MTCs are compiled and dispatched with the shipment
Packing and Dispatch
Components are cleaned, rust-protected where required and packed to prevent transit damage. Export orders are packed per ISPM-15 compliant or customer-specified packaging standards
Our Manufacturing Process
Raw Material Sourcing
We source materials from approved, tested suppliers in India. Steel grades commonly used include EN8, EN19, EN24, SS304, SS316, mild steel IS 2062 and brass CuZn39Pb3. Every incoming batch is verified against the supplied MTC before being released to the shop floor.
CNC Turning (Lathe Operations)
CNC turning centers handle cylindrical components such as pins, bushes, pistons and shafts. The workpiece rotates while precision carbide tooling removes material to achieve the required external diameter, internal bore, shoulder and thread features in one or more setups.
CNC Milling and Machining Centers
Multi-axis CNC machining centers are used for components requiring flat surfaces, slots, pockets, drilled patterns and compound geometries — including flanges, hydraulic covers, front plates, clamps and setting discs. Multi-axis setups reduce the number of fixtures and repositioning operations needed, improving geometric accuracy.
Secondary Operations
Depending on component requirements, secondary operations may include grinding (for high-precision diameter or flat surface finishing), heat treatment (for hardness and wear resistance), deburring, thread chasing and surface treatment.
Inspection and Traceability
Every production batch is assigned a job number. In-process and final inspection records are linked to this number, providing full traceability from raw material receipt to customer dispatch.
